Trash 2 Treasure Hunt over at DST

Whew...Saturday is almost over. We didn't get all that wintry crap we were supposed to get this weekend...thank goodness for that. As I am sitting here typing my thoughts, I have a steaming bowl of thick, homemade stew with fresh-baked honey wheat bread....YUM!

Roger decided with nothing on TV today, we would have an Indiana Jones marathon...I have honestly not seen these...lol. I did my usual Saturday routine...digi scrapping my heart out. I have got to get some paper scrapping done...maybe next weekend. We are planning on a major re-do of the living room and dining room. I have too many supplies that are scattered between these 2 rooms. We will move everything to the dining room for convenience.

Enough boring schtuff...time for my creations!

First, I picked up this awesome kit over at DigiScrapShak for my CT requirement this week. It is by Carla of Meus Scraps! Here is a preview:

Most of my Friday night and Saturday morning was spent searching for clues in the Trash 2 Treasure hunt over at DST! Some clues were completely mind-boggling and others were simple and easy. I love all the wonderful freebies I was able to pick up! There is even a contest to make a layout with the goodies you picked up. Here are a couple I did with mine!

CREDITS: Papers by Kim Hill @ CG Essentials; freebie template by Chrissy W.; flowers by Mad Scraps; pewter brad by Faith True Designs; and brush word art by Katie Pertiet.

Enough for now! Off to catch up on my message boards!!!

Pics of My Newest Goodies!

Whew! What a day yesterday....Roger ended up cancelling his doctor's appointment and we hit the stores!!! First I finally got a chance to visit Archivers! It has been a good 6 months since I have been there! I was like a kid in a candy store...almost couldn't decide what to get .. lol! Lets look!

A good selection of papers from Making Memories Noteworthy collection and the new Two Scoops from Basic Grey.

Here is some of the fab new diecut-like papers ... most are by Making Memories and Rhonna Farrer.

These are Making Memories chipboard shapes and alphas I picked up at the Hot Spot for only $1.99 each! What a way to feed my chipboard addiction!

These were the only Inque stamps I could find! Plus a cutie bird by Mindy Terasawa!

Some great chipboard shapes from Basic Grey - Periphery collection .. and at 25% off!

Wilma alphabet from Basic Grey's 2 Scoops collection...great alpha!

I got this Stemma pack of paper at Target for only $6.98!

And another Stemma pack of paper...Why am I such a sucker for these paper packs???

Oh, now this is my fav buy of the day! Of course, we HAD to hit Best Buy! Roger wanted to get a new monitor (he did and it is a great looking 22-inch one! I am so jealous!) and some new games! Plus I got the DVD burner for my computer - I think I will be able to back up my stuff much better with a DVD burner.
I decided to go browse the digital cameras. I definitely need a new digi cam for our trip to Florida. Of course, I was drooling over the Canon Rebel DSLRs and I noticed this beauty. I know...I know...it is a still camera that uses 35 mm film and all, but I wanted something with some heft to it. It was normally about $250 and had a clearance sticker at $133. I got a worker so I could just peek at it. This woman was awesome! She told me that it was reduced down in price that morning, but she hadn't had a chance yet to reprice it. I figured $100. NOPE!! I got it for $44.49!!!!!! What a price! I went to Walmart a bit ago to get some film and now I can play! I will definitely be posting some new pictures!!
And yes....I still want a digital camera...I am just not sure what I want yet.

And last, but certainly not least, I finally have gotten on the bandwagon and got an ATG gun! I was able to get it off of Scrapbook Addicts from a great lady! Now ... to patiently wait for the adhesives to come in from Framingsupplies.com!!!
I also ordered some of the KI Memories lacy cardstock from an online store and was able to order some scalloped circle punches from Joanns.com for 30% off. But I am gonna have to wait till next week for those babies to come in the mail!
Well...the sweet smell of homemade BBQ meatballs is reaching me and I am just starving! Off for now!

Rainy Wednesday!

What a fitting end to my work week....just cold and rainy. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a brighter day. We are off to St. Louis for a dr. visit. I know Roger doesn't want to go, but I imagine this will be the last visit to this doctor. The surgery on his back went fine and all, but, unfortunately, not much has changed in the pain and soreness. I am just at wit's end on trying to get to the bottom of this ailment of his. Is it muscular or bone? No one can seem to say...just trying to do surgeries. Wish us luck.
Of course, I HAVE got to hit Archivers while we are up there! Oh yeah! I am just excited!

Here are some LOs I did last Saturday!

CREDITS: Krystal Hartley Sweet papers; Swirl by Jenna Desai; journal spot and word art by Katie Pertiet; and font is Pea Crystal. This was a layout I did for a challenge at 2Peas for the BOS challenge!
This next LO is one I did for the PolkaDotPotato Ad challenge. This is my first 2 pager!!!

Well...Here is my attempt to get better at posting to my blog!

I so need to work on the wedding album for Sherry and Brian...but I just can't get into it. Josh and I took wondercul pictures and all, but I can't get any mojo flowing to finish the book.

Let me plug my CT work over at DragonFlaireStudios

I did some layouts for Fotosusu's kits!

And, of course, some LOs I did:

Here is her Fireside Delight kit... a total beauty for heritage photos!

Off to do some more digiscrapping! See ya for now!

A New Month!

Ahhh! February is here! Gosh, the month and years fly by so quickly! We are 5 months from Sue and Josh's wedding. I definitely need to get the hotel reservations made, etc. Of course, I was waiting on the tax refund, which should be here any day now.
What snow we got yesterday and last nite, is pretty much gone now. They went ahead and cancelled school and all, but it gave John an honest day off...lol.
Time to give a heads up to a new kit at BuzyBeeScrappers!! Here is a pic of the whole kit!

And...drumroll please...a few layouts I did with the kit!
